Zero Day explorer update again
There doesn’t seem much new on this front, but… The register is talking about it., US-CERT says the exploit code is publicly available, although Microsoft says they’re not aware of any attacks. And Secunia has an advisory (I’m not sure, I may have mentioned the Secunia advisory earlier.)

More zotob affects. Disneyland hit…
According to alvarezperea.com, it appears that the writer was told by an employee of the havoc the worm wrecked on the theme park. It seems that most everything is computer controlled from ticket sales, food sales etc. Sounds like it wasn’t a fun day at the Magic Kingdom.

National Weather Service RSS feeds
I hadn’t seen this, but Slashdot is reporting that the national weather service is experimenting with RSS feeds for Weather alerts and their forecasts. Neat, I’ve already setup a feed for the local weather alerts here.

Linux on a Linksys wireless router
This is one of those projects I’ve been tempted to undertake for some time… Newsforge has an article on Linux on the Linksys wireless WRT54G and WRT54GS routers. The distribution designed for it is openwrt which is an embedded linux flavor.

Phishing test…
So, I’ve talked a good deal about phishing scam emails and I had to read when I found this article at the sunbeltblog. They posted a link to a site with some tips on phishing, as well as a “test your phishing smarts” kind of test at mailfrontier.com.

Another update on the 0day Explorer exploit
Well, it looks like quite a bit took place while I was out on the “zero day exploit front”. It looks as though there is another update at The Sans Institute. The first thing to notice is that they’ve raised their alert level to Yellow over the impending active exploitation of this vulnerability.
