  • How to Remove Windows PC Defender | Windows PC Defender Removal

Windows PC Defender is a rogue antivirus application that resembles the legitimate antispyware known as Windows Defender from Microsoft. Their intent apparently is to mimic the look an theming of that application to trick potential customers into trusting and downloading (and paying for) their product. It is a clone of Windows Guard Pro and Ultimate System Guard. Like so many of these rogues, they simply change the names and recycle much of what they’ve used before. As most of these applications do, Windows PC Defender displays false claims of system problems and threats and claims to be able to remove them if you pay. So… on to removal of windows pc defender.

  • So who is behind Windows Police Pro Virus / Rogue Security Software?

As I’ve seen the continuing FLOOD of searches for some way to Remove Windows Police Pro, I’ve been starting to wonder at the who is behind this particular piece of junk software. These programs aren’t written by your average ordinary virus writer, there is really too much spit and polish on these and the end result is a racket which resembles a mob shakedown along the lines of “it’d be shame if anything happened to your important data”….. I’m intrigued by some that are speculating that there’s a connection to the Total Security 2009 package. The reason they’re saying that is some of the top sites for removal of Windows Police Pro are actually shilling ANOTHER rogue security program Total Security 2009. • Warning – old wolf in sheeps clothing cloned…

Our “good friend” spyaxe, which is one of the “wolves in sheeps clothing” that masquerade as security software, but in actuality are delivered WITH spyware, has a new clone. Apparently SpywareStrike is making the rounds, and has a website which is identical to the SpyAxe site and it looks to be the same program. The only thing that appears different is the new name. I guess with all the publicity over the spyaxe name, they figured they wanted a fresh start for the new year.

Well, antivirus vendors and IT security folks are waiting now for the expected activation of the sober.y worm searching for a new downloads and a new revision of the pest. kaspersky’s log indicates the expected activation time is 00:00 GMT January 6th, which means here in the EST zone that would be 7PM EST… Of course many of the expected sites have been shut down. It appears that the virus will look periodically for sites to “upgrade” from for some time.
