  • Shortwave Radio schedule browsing Application

    Ok, I have too many interests. One of them is listening to shortwave radio. I guess in many ways I’m a news junky. Also, I’m working on my Spanish so, listening to shortwave gives me vast listening resources. I know, I know, “can’t you stream the feeds over the web” Yes, many of them, but it’s just nice to get away from the computer and tinker with something completely different, a radio and hear the whistling and the drift, etc.

  • Grisoft AVG Antivirus and other antivirus alternatives

    Okay, so we know that having an antivirus scanner on a windows desktop is VERY necessary. Especially if it’s a system that has any contact with the outside world. So, what to choose.   • Windows Vista?

    OK, I’m just seeing the news that Microsoft has announced the name for the next version of Windows which has gone under the working name of Longhorn. It’s going to be Windows Vista That may take some getting used to. I guess it’s better than Windows View? There are some funny posibilities though… (more…)
