At this point, I doubt anyone is seeing this as the wordpress test install is not live to the public yet, but… I’m opening this one up for comments. On the old site, I had accumulated a bit of content along the lines of windows/linux tips, software recommendations and tech support tips. Most of it is stuff at this point that I’m not eager to just copy over. At some point I may include those, but looking back I see nothing that seems like a vast unknown resource.

Migration to new CMS
As you can see I’m in the midst of a migration to a new CMS tool. Right now I’m using wordpress which is normally considered a blogging tool. Frankly, I was reluctant to look at a blogging tool in part because the concept has such a trendy feel to it. Truth be told, technically the way I’ve envisioned (and at times implemented) updates to my sites have been in the style that these days is not too far from blogging. At this point I’m fairly impressed with wordpress. If you’re interested in learning more, there is likely a link at the bottom of the page, or you could try this link www.wordpress.org
Old content will be migrated from the old layout and at somepoint this new portal will likely be made active.

Introductory post
After about 12 hours of tinkering this is shaping up nicely in some ways. I haven’t yet dug into the templates. I like the distinction between pages and posts. That is clear and seems to work. I am also just now looking through the list of plugins.
