Sunbeltblog has more info on the identity theft keylogger and will offer removal tool
There another two fascinating posts in the saga of the massive identity theft that was reported in the Sunbelt blog. For starters they detail the beast here. It sounds truly devious, MAY still be related to coolwebsearch after all. It turns off Windows firewall and runs through Internet Explorer (thereby bypassing any other software firewall.)

Anti-phishing tool
I had run across a link that netcraft was trying to combat phishing schemes and I didn’t have time for a detailed look at the time. I’ve since revisited and found their Netcraft toolbar. I’m impressed, it installs in either Internet Explorer (under Windows), or Mozilla Firefox (all platforms.)

The resource is The Google Guide It all can be printed out to a 149 page tome, or can be perused online. It covers many facets of searching in Google.

Backing up and restoring MySQL databases
In the past few days I’ve been working on an automated backup system for both my site databases and a few others. I thought I’d take a bit to go through what I’ve done. It’s really simple, but I suspect there are some that either don’t realise it’s this simple, or will think this is rocket science. Free Ext2 Ext3 driver for Windows
Barrapunto.com is reporting on a Noticias.com article (on another story by… sorry… got carried away.) Their reporting on a freely available Ext2 Ext3 driver for Windows. It should allow full read/write access (although I would quail at allowing Windows to write to ext2 or 3…. just me though.)
