  • Happy New Year

Yes, I’m still around and even though I haven’t posted, it’s been a busy few months. In some ways it’s been very nice to not force myself to read through a couple hundred news feeds a day to keep up with what’s out in the world. (Before Christmas I had started forcing myself to close the RSS reader after I “cleared” new stories and only check one or two times a day.) For a news junkie like me…. that was a bit difficult. But, right this minute I don’t know how many days it’s been SINCE I opened the news reader. Although I suspect I will in a day or two here, if for no other reason than to clean the slate… and maybe prune my feeds a bit. Some are just TOO frequent.

  • WMF Exploit — it’s worse…

  • Happy New Year

I hope that you all enjoy a very Happy New Year. I probably should have had this post go out at 00:00 GMT, but… I thought I’d post it using the server local time….

  • Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

For those that read this I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I have several posts scheduled to come out each day through the 1st of the New Year, but will likely not be adding to that unless something big happens. I’ll also be taking the week away from scheduled computer appointments. I’m one of those people that has a hard time setting tasks aside, but this time of year is usually the best opportunity for me to have a week away from the typical routine of chasing computer problems.

I hope that everyone will have an opportunity during this Holiday season to reflect on those things that are truly important which aren’t necessarily those same things that we spend everyday working with.
