  • Spamassassin Custom Rulesets

I’m starting this post in part as a placeholder for some information I’ve come across. I’ve been tinkering with my first custom spamassassin rule. I’ve tried the SARE rulesets and they seem to be missing one specific class of junk mail in my setup. (After verifying that the rulesets were actually being used), I set about trying to create my own rule to deal with the offending messages.

  • New Orleans Datacenter STILL up and running

Of course the thoughts and prayers of the nation and indeed the world are with those in the Gulf Coast area of the U.S. and particularly the situation in New Orleans. When I first saw the MSN search page I had to smirk. It reminded me much of the Google search page. It was a nice “clean” layout, take away the blue background and the similarities would be greater. Of course my first thought was. “OK they’re copying google.” or at least their style. Next

  • Shortwave Radio schedule browsing Application

Ok, I have too many interests. One of them is listening to shortwave radio. I guess in many ways I’m a news junky. Also, I’m working on my Spanish so, listening to shortwave gives me vast listening resources. I know, I know, “can’t you stream the feeds over the web” Yes, many of them, but it’s just nice to get away from the computer and tinker with something completely different, a radio and hear the whistling and the drift, etc.
