Spam that I might actually respond to

This is going to be uncategorized because it’s out of nowhere.

You know, I’ve wondered many times “who actually bites” for the things advertised in junk mail. You know someone has to. About a year ago I read an article on someone that bit at a lot of the “great offers” he got in his junk mail. I usually don’t see as much junk mail in my inbox as I used to. (I run spamassassin and a virus filter on my linux server). Sometimes a bit slips in though. Tonight I saw one that I may have to follow through with for more details….

The title was “How about this Robotic Lawnmower”

Now, I’ve researched robotic lawnmowers before (hasn’t anyone with a yard?) The only problem I have is that we live in the mountains and our yard is FAR from flat. Yes we have flat spots, but those are the easy ones to mow. Most every robotic lawnmower I’ve seen doesn’t handle anything but a flat yard. Around here that’s the easy part. I looked at the image for this one and I doubt it does anything impressive. Show me one with some decent big tires and will do a 20%+ grade and we’ll talk.

Of course, I’ve even thought about trying to get a hold of one and then playing around with modifications of the wheel base/size to try to get better stability on banks. Anyway, it was a come on for an opinion survey, I declined. Not quite tempting enough.
