Review of Acer Ferrari 4000 notebook

The Register also has a review up today of the Acer Ferrarri 4000 notebook/laptop. Apparently, an older version of the Ferrari was too bright red for the taste of the reviewers. They do a thorough writeup of the newer version which appears to be a sleeker, more conservative colored model.

I typically shy away from hardware that gets a second brand name. I think it’s usually a good trick to add the price tag. “Eddie Ba**r edition of the >>>> fill SUV in the blank here.” It’s just sort of strange to me seeing the Ferrari brand on a notebook. But, I suppose that may draw some people in.
