Rebooting averyjparker.com — From Classic Tech Tips to Modern Maker Tech
Why this site is pivoting to AI tools, 3D printing, Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 — and how the old archive stays useful.
For years this domain hosted a busy tech tips blog: malware cleanup, Linux how-tos, Windows quirks, networking, and web tools. That content isn’t going away — it’s moving into a dedicated Classic Tech Tips Archive.
What’s changing is the front door.
Why maker tech?
My day-to-day interests and projects have shifted toward things you can hold: printers, boards, sensors, and local AI that actually shortens a build cycle. The web doesn’t need another generic “tech news” page. It needs clear, finishable projects.
What you’ll get
- Project templates with parts, steps, troubleshooting, and optional AI assists
- Guides aimed at hobbyists, educators, and small-business makers
- Honest notes when a tool or model wastes time
- Preserved legacy tips for long-tail SEO and real troubleshooting value
First projects
Start with Getting Started with ESP32 for Beginners and the projects hub. Grab the free starter kit from the shop page.
Thanks for reading — whether you’ve been here since the malware-cleanup days or you just arrived with a hot-end and a breadboard.
