Laser Printer Buying guide
Last week cooltech had an article on an inkjet printer buyers guide. This week they follow up with a Laser Printer buying guide.
Personally I’ve got an old (bought it used) HP Laserjet 4p that I wouldn’t give up for anything. It’s probably approaching as many as 10 years old now that I think about it, but it is very reliable and I haven’t had a large enough volume of printing to replace toner in about a year. Replacement cartridges were $70 or so and I try to keep a spare on hand. That was certainly cheaper maintenance than the last Lexmark Inkjet I had (~$50 cartridges – dried out between uses, used half the ink trying to clean the print head.)
