Yahoo ! has launched Audio Search

Yahoo! has released an Audio search. It not only allows a search of some of the freely available audio on the net, but according to this article, it searches the catalogs of online music services (such as Rhapsody, emusic, Garageband.com, iTunes.)

This is the first Audio only content search I know of from the “big three”, Google, MSN and Yahoo. Google has their Video Search which uses close-captioning to search for text within video files. It’s good to see Yahoo! still out there coming up with new ideas too. The competition among the search engines is a good thing.
