VMPlayer of course, is a freely available program from vmware that can allow you to "play" or run pre-created vmware virtual machine images. It also should be compatible with Virtual machines created in Virtual PC or Virtual Server. It's not possible to create images with the player, but it is possible to create the images for the player with other tools. (Qemu-img for instance.)
