The rumor mill is in full swing as USA joins in to report that sources are saying that Google Talk will be launched as early as Wednesday. They suggest that it will be instant messaging AND voice messaging.


They point to the other clues that Google is possible using Jabber as a foundation for this. Jabber is compatible and has gateways to several other messaging protocols. The Voice IM would clearly put them in competition with skype. It will DEFINITELY be interesting to see what, if anything, is announced tomorrow.
