Microsoft February Patch day advance notice
Microsoft has given advance notice that next Tuesday they will be releasing 7 updates for Windows, as many as 5 of these will be tagged as critical. The Security Fix has a bit on the advance notice as does Sans. Looks like one of the critical updates will be for Media Player, 4 for Windows itself and 2 updates for Microsoft Office. A reboot will be required for some of the updates.
The official advance bulletin is available from Microsoft. They also will be updating the Malicious software removal tool.
I know I’ve missed mentioning a few things in the last week while I’ve been sorting out the issue I mentioned in my last post. Hopefully I can get caught up on those issues in the next day or so. I’ve felt like yesterday and today were starting to get back towards something resembling a normal routine.
