OSWD.org is back up

I've just looked and noticed that oswd.org (Open source web design). They currently boast 715 free templates. In their absense several other sites have sprung up to fill the void they had left... openwebtemplates.com is one such recent entry. There's also openwebdesign.org with over 1300 templates. There are several sites that seem to be mirroring the original list of zipped templates from oswd.org, but I don't find any others with thumbnails, openwebdesign.org appears to have the complete list. It also appears that the owner at oswd.org has added this text....

"snip....You cannot redistribute the designs on Open Source Web Design, for example, by creating a spin-off of OSWD....snip"

Which doesn't quite seem to fit with the concept of open source. I would say the right to decide how the template is to be used lies with the original author, not with a site owner. It may be that oswd.org will suffer from that change. If I were designing templates and making them open source I wouldn't upload to a site that restricted the redistribution of what I was making open source. Kind of sad really, I hope that "license restriction" above changes.
