Broadband users watch less tv

According to this report, broadband users watch less tv. Two hours less a week in fact, compared to their non-broadband counterparts (dial up users watch 1.5 hours less than the non connected). It's understandable, instead of couch potatoes many of us are computer-potatoes. I do have a tendency to "multi-task" though at times and have news tv or radio on while I work.


The study also goes on to pigeon-hole folks into technology pessimist/optimist categories.

I find it interesting that broadband users watch less tv than dialup users. It's "proof" or at least evidence that broadband encourages you to use your internet connection more. I find that with the connection and references online to be always available and fairly responsive it's tempting to just look up anything on a whim.
