In the posts table I found that wordpress had stopped doing the trackback pings after my fourth post. I did a bit of searching and found this post where I learned that I could just execute the ‘/wp-admin/execute-pings.php’ scripts. The script did all the trackbacks which hadn’t been sent. But the script also returned two PHP errors saying that it couldn’t do the pings to ‘http://’. Apparently wordpress had registered some invalid url’s to trackback, and then got stuck on them. [...]

It might be interesting to test at least. Good luck, I know how frustrating an issue this was for me.

I also upped the memory to 32M. I restarted the server to flush everything out and tried pingbacks and trackbacks in separate messages. I still cannot send them -- I even tried sending to the TestTrack site someone set up just for this purpose. Any other suggestions?
