KDE 3.5 preview part 2 up
A while back I did an article on a preview of KDE 3.5 (currently in alpha). Today the Second part of that preview of what is to come (kome?) in KDE is up. He picks up featuring the changes in konqueror. (The default web browser under KDE.) On the eyecandy front…. SuperKaramba has been included in the main release of the next KDE.
For those that aren’t familiar, superkaramba presents glossy sometimes semi-transparent live updated information on the desktop like system status, weather, news headlines, etc. It rates very high in the gloss category. Some people love it’s usefulness. There is also a new theme (Plastik is still the default), that looks nice as well.
This isn’t the end of the preview series, there’s the promise of more in 2 weeks.
